STAR-Barcelona is a subsidiary owned by STAR-Dundee. The company’s activity focuses on R&D, ASIC design, and IPs related to SpaceFibre, a communications protocol for building high-speed (multi-Gbit/s) networks and links.
Activities
The main activity of STAR-Barcelona focuses on the development of IPs for SpaceFibre. The team also contributes to the FPGA design of STAR-Dundee’s testing and development equipment (EGSE) and has participated in research and innovation projects, such as Hi-SIDE (https://www.hi-side.space/), winner of the Innovation in Space Award 2022 at the European Space Forum.
