Schwartz Hautmont is a metal construction company founded in Vila-seca in 1963. It began in the late 1970s in what has become a long career manufacturing and installing, among other things, large antennas (communications, deep space) and radio telescopes. It currently has five workshops in the Tarragona area, with around 500 workers. It provides engineering, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning services, as well as repairs and maintenance.
In the specific case of large deep space antennas (34 and 35m), it is a world leader in the number of antennas installed (7 in operation and one in manufacturing in the last quarter of a century), and is the only manufacturer supplying antennas of this nature to both the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL, part of NASA).
Schwartz Hautmont can provide design, manufacturing, commissioning and maintenance solutions for any terrestrial communications station.
