The i2CAT Foundation is a non-profit technology research centre that promotes RDI activities related to advanced digital technologies and their architecture, applications and services.
15 years of international research define its expertise in the fields of 5G, IoT, VR and immersive technologies, cybersecurity, blockchain, Open Big Data and artificial intelligence.
The centre works with companies, public administration agencies, academic institutions and users in order to apply this knowledge in resolving social and business challenges.
Activities
The i2CAT Foundation occupies a prominent position in the ecosystem of research and development of IoT and 5G technologies on a local and international scale.
The Mobile Wireless Internet, Software Networks, and Recursive InterNetwork Architecture (RINA) research areas are innovating in protocols, services, infrastructure, and wireless connections to connect the billions of devices expected in a future dominated by the Internet of Things.
