Arxiu Carmenati

Information
The mission of the Carmenati Archive is to preserve and disseminate the legacy and work of Vincenzo Carmenati. To achieve this in a manner that remains faithful and respectful to the values of the Italian architect and artist, it is essential to adopt a perspective filtered through innovation, curiosity, philanthropy, and design.
The organization uses technology to digitize and archive materials, to connect with audiences, and to make the life and work of Vincenzo Carmenati accessible to anyone interested in contemporary art, design, or architecture. Traditional forms of dissemination (such as exhibitions and research) are complemented with immersive experiences through Virtual Reality.
Activities
One of the Carmenati Archive’s main Virtual Reality projects is the Maddox Club in Platja d’Aro. This iconic and groundbreaking venue, which no longer exists, has been recreated virtually using the architect’s original blueprints. With the building already modeled in 3D, the team is now working to recreate the authentic atmosphere the space once had. The experience is published on Spatial.io.
