Custody Agents

Custody Agents is a Barcelona-based company that develops Sentinel, a governance, security and compliance platform for digital asset custody. Sentinel acts as a non-custodial orchestration layer that operates independently of the custody provider, never holding cryptographic keys or controlling clients’ assets.

The platform combines artificial intelligence with deterministic policy validation to help financial institutions, family offices and wealth advisors manage operational risk, oversight and regulatory compliance in digital asset custody.

Custody Agents’ activities are directly aligned with the DCA-IA community through the application of artificial intelligence to a highly regulated field: the governance and regulatory compliance of digital asset custody.

Areas of activity:

• Specialised AI agents: Analyse custody architectures, identify governance gaps and generate auditable risk reports for advisors and financial institutions.
• Deterministic policy validation engine: Mathematically verifies governance rules and acts as a safety layer for the outputs generated by AI components. This dual approach, combining AI for analysis with deterministic validation, represents a methodological contribution to the debate on AI reliability in regulated sectors.
• Integration with corporate AI assistants: Integrates agents into clients’ corporate AI assistants, such as Microsoft Copilot and other platforms, making custody governance capabilities available within professionals’ everyday workflows.
• Technology infrastructure: Deploys its solutions on Azure AI Foundry as part of Microsoft’s ISV Success ecosystem.

Custody Agents aims to contribute to the DCA-IA community by sharing knowledge and insights on the reliability and verifiability of AI systems applied to regulated environments, as well as on their alignment with the European regulatory framework.
