Information

The UPC Space Program is a student-led project dedicated to the development of technologies related to aeronautics and space. It is currently the largest and most inclusive of its kind at UPC. Its members come from various degree programs at UPC as well as other universities, bringing a wide diversity of knowledge and experience to the team. The association is organized into four main branches: robotics, rocketry, drones, and cubesats, with the goal of driving innovation in strategic technological sectors and contributing to the country’s scientific and industrial progress.

Activities

Currently, the UPC Space Program is developing four technological projects related to the aerospace and drone sectors, which are closely connected to the DCA Communities.

  • Ares: A team dedicated to the design and construction of suborbital rockets, aiming to participate in the EuRoC competition.
  • Atlas: Focused on the development of high-performance drones, with the goal of participating in the SAR.
  • GRASS: A project aimed at building a rover for Mars exploration, competing in the annual ERC competition.
  • Horus: A team specializing in the research and development of pico-satellites.
